​My name is Sophie Lipitz, I am a chef, educator, food stylist, and forager trained on farms, the NYC pop-up event scene, and sometimes, restaurants. 

 

I’m particularly interested in non-restaurant cooking and activating commercial/natural/public spaces into dining experiences. I constantly seek non-logical collaborations (e.g. a slipper company or a hardware store) and opportunities to feed the community free of charge.I typically cook parties of 10 to 100 people, emphasizing sculptural arrangements of local produce, hyper-seasonality, and ethical sourcing. My menus often include food I have grown or foraged and I love to work with clients on special projects like making a take-home jam with fruit grown on the property or using nostalgic shells as pudding spoons.
